Karnataka Government Enterprise Mysore Sales International Ltd. (MSIL) is preparing to start its electronic trade platform to facilitate the sale of various products. The aim of this initiative is to create a market for government and private producers, similar to the Government E-Trhu Portal (GEM) of the Central Government Government.
The Minister of the Great and Central Industry of the MB Patil, who organized a meeting with higher officials and conducted discussions about the initiative, ordered officials to prepare a plan for its implementation.
In four stages
“The platform will be developed in four phases. Once they are fully functional, government authorities will be able to obtain their stationery and other requirements without calling on offers. In addition, they can also use the platform to sell their products,” Patil said.
In the first phase, only MSIL products will be available on the platform. The second phase will include products from various government businesses such as soaps and detergents of Karnataka Ltd., Lidkar, Mysore Silk, Cauvery Emporium and KMF (Nandini). This platform would also facilitate the sale of products from groups MSMes and female groups, said the Minister.
The third phase of Wold represents consumer products and electronic products, while the last phase would include fresh and subject to destruction, the Minister added. With almost 900 million Internet users in the country, market conditions are very favorable to the growth of electronic trading, he said.
The meeting was attended by the CEO of MSIL Manoj Kumar, the director of Chandrappa and other officials.
