England produced a commanding all-round performance to beat India by 125 runs in the third T20I at Trent Bridge to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the five-match series after the opening match was swept. The defeat was India’s heaviest by runs in men’s T20I history, with the visitors bundled out for just 76 in 11.4 overs.After being asked to bat, England posted 201/7, built around Philip Salt’s 44-ball 70 and Sam Curran’s unbeaten 41. Debutant Prince Yadav (2/30) and Harshit Rana (2/40) impressed for India but the visitors struggled to dominate England in defeat.India’s chase never took off as Jofra Archer (3/29) and Josh Tongue (4/28) broke through the top order. India lost their first five wickets in six overs for the first time in T20I history before being bowled out for 76. Adil Rashid took the last wicket to seal England’s biggest win of the series and extend Shreyas Iyer’s wait for his first win as India’s full-time T20I captain.
