Among the highlights of the evening will be the reunion of former CSK players with the ‘OG Super Kings’ team with names like Suresh Raina, Matthew Hayden, Murali Vijay and Subramaniam Badrinath. The former stars will take on the current Chennai Super Kings in a series of exhibition matches at the iconic venue.
The franchise said the evening will also feature a special live performance by Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman, who will transform the stadium into a grand entertainment venue with music, lights and fan engagement activities.
CSK described the event as a tribute to the team’s journey and the fans who have supported the franchise over the years. The evening is expected to combine cricket and entertainment, with interactive experiences and friendly competitions between past and present players forming part of the celebrations.
WHERE TO BUY CSK ROAR TICKETS?
Tickets for the event will be launched on March 15 on the CSK App, the franchise’s official website and the District App and District.in platform.
With ROAR 26, CSK once again seems to be pushing the boundaries of how franchises interact with their fans beyond match days. The event offers a glimpse into the kind of immersive fan experiences that could become more common around the IPL in the future, something other franchises could look to adopt to deepen their connection with supporters.
MS DHONI’S LAST SEASON?
The legendary MS Dhoni is once again set to be the center of attention in Chennai Super Kings’ quest for their 6th IPL trophy. The wicket-keeper batsman is expected to play most of the team’s matches. With CSK signing wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson to Rajasthan Royals, Dhoni is expected to hand over the wicketkeeping baton to him at the end of this season.
