Composer R. Llaiyaraja The name was removed from all promotional materials related to the film “Mrs. and Pan,” Vanitha Productions said Madras High Court on Wednesday (July 23, 2025).
Senthilkucar Ramamoorthy’s justice has noticed a submission made by Sridhar Moorthy, an advisor to the producer that the composer’s name was removed from the materials published on Instagram and other platforms. Previously, the Council of Mr. Ilaiyaraja A. Saravanan said the use of his client’s name was distortion.
The court’s notification was notified that Mr. Ilaiyaraja was not the music composer “Ms” and the producers used one of the songs he composed for another film, and printed his name in promotional materials, giving the impression as if they were their music composer, the Council said.
In his civic suit, Mr. Ilaiyaraja also sought the direction of Vanith’s film production to immediately remove the song called “Sivarathri”, composed for the star of Kamal Haasan Michael Madan Kama Rajan, from a film released on July 11, 2025.
He was also looking for a permanent court order that limits the production company to use his personality rights to promote the film and sought direction to the production house to publish profits and profits obtained from exploiting such rights.
Together with the action, the composer submitted two applications for interim relief. One of the applications was for the provisional direction to remove the song “Sivarathi” by Mrs. and Mr. and others for the Provisional Direction, so that he did not sell, distribute, painted, exhibited or broadcast a film with songs.
After Mr. Moorty filed an affidavit for requests looking for interim relief, he told the court that Mr. Ilaiyaraja incorrectly mentioned Mrs. Vanitha Vijayakumar as a film producer, although promotional materials clearly mentioned Jovika Vijayakumar to be a producer.

Therefore, he said that the composer would have to apply for a change of causetitle. He also stated that Sony Music Entertainment would also have to be included as one of the defendants in the action, as this music society was assigned the rights of the song “Sivarathiri”.
Take note of his submission, the judge granted the time to 18 August for the composer to submit the necessary requests for a change in income income and the inclusion of a new defendant.
