Mrs. Dhoni recently went down the memory and kindly remembered Providing autograph to the legendary Sunil Gavascar. An unforgettable moment took place during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, when Chennai Super Kings (CSK) played their last game of the season at the Ma Chidambarama iconic stadium.
When CSK captivated the honest round, Gavascar interrupted Dhoni briefly to ask for an autograph. Dhoni committed himself, signed Gavaskara’s shirt – a moment that quickly became iconic. Later Gavascar revealed that The shirt has been safely preserved at home.
“He is very satisfied with what I did in and outside the field. I also made mistakes, but more often than not, I tried to do the right things. So his recognition feels like a sign of consent – something very close to my heart.”
“When he asked for an autograph, my immediate reaction was,” Okay, give an autograph. “It was a strange moment,” Dhoni said in a Star Sports video.
Dhoni praised Gavascar for facing an attack by the fire West India, which had Malcolm Marshall, Joel Garner, Andy Roberts and others, with courage and determination. Gavascar was also the first body to score 10,000 runs in the test cricket.
“It’s a great game. Since I started playing cricket, it has been from that time, and before that there was a few iconic appointments, and Sunny Bhai has always been one of them – especially how he played against the West Indian fast bowling unit.
Dhoni also appeared as one of the giants of the Indian cricket. Under it India won the World Cup T20 Men’s T20, Men’s World Cup ODI 2011 and Champions Trophy 2013. Dhoni left the international cricket in August 2020 and since then played only for CSK.
