Chennai Super Kings broke his 5-match losses with victory at the Ekana stadium in Lucknow. Captain CSK MS Dhoni was appointed a match player for his top goal for stumps and his knocking 26* out of 11 balls. When he spoke after the game, Dhoni kicked sharply on the playground provided in Chennai and called for better goals at home.
The Chennai Super Kings had a deplorable start of the Indian Premier League 2025 season and won only 2 matches out of 7. They were especially poor at the Ma Chidambarama stadium, which was considered a fortress for this party until last year. At the ceremony after the match, Dhoni was asked for a shy side. The Talismanic captain replied that one of the reasons for their results was the Chennai playground, which did not allow them to express themselves as a branding group.
“One of the reasons could be that Chennai’s goal is slightly on the slower side. When we played away from home, the branding unit did a little better. Maybe we have to play on the goals that are a little better, so it gives the doughs to play their shots.
“As a bowling unit, we did well. We can do better as a tab unit,” he added.

In front of the game Lucknow, the whole CSK team just hit 32 six, which is in this IPL. He also complained about the playground earlier in the tournament and said that they were unable to read the Chennai playground.
CSK is not the only team that complained about the goal this season. Previously, Captain Kolkata Knight Riders Ajinkya Rahane and Lucknow Super Giants Bowling coach Zheer Khan complained about a playground that seemed to suit the strengths of the opponents better than the home team.
