At the age of 44, Mrs. Dhoni continues to impress – not only by her heritage, but with his permanent condition. Since the retirement of the international cricket in 2020, the former Indian captain remained a key figure in IPL. His sharp reflexes and lightning -fast stumps – often in two seconds – are proof of his unwavering focus on physical health.
While Dhoni leads an example with his own disciplined routine, he recently expressed wider concerns: the decreasing level of fitness among Indians, especially children. When he spoke at the event in Ranchi, he shared that even with his own daughter, he consciously tries to integrate activities that support physical movement.
“Nowadays, this age is decreasing, in the sense that the amount of physical activity is declining. So the average level of fitness as Indians that dropped. Even my daughter, I feel that it does not do much physical activity.
MS Dhoni brings Indian laurels
Dhoni launched his international career in 2004 and took over it as a captain in 2007. During his game years he was known not only for his quiet leadership, but also for his exceptional condition – from sprinting between goals to his agile goals for stumps.
It remains the only captain who won all three main trophies of ICC White-ball: World Cup T20, World Cup ODI and Trophy Champions. Dhoni’s disciplined approach to fitness and his sharp game sense was helpful in his success in the field.
Even after leaving the international cricket, his commitment to remain fit – and his hunger to perform – remains unchanged. This was clearly exposed during IPL 2025.
Nowadays, the oldest player in the league, Dhoni does not have to dominate as it once in his main condition, but continues to stand out in his role. In the match against LSG, he broke 26 escapes of only 11 balls and built a key partnership with Shivam Dube to lead CSK to victory. His win, who won the match, brought him the player’s prize, which made him the oldest player who had ever gained honor.
The performances, such as this, continue to inspire the next generation, showing that age is just a number when it is paired with discipline and determination.
