Former India Off Spinner Harbhajan Singh said that the legendary Indian cricket Mrs. Dhoni has a real fan base on social media and relaxing has several paid fans on social media. Dhoni is in the middle of his 18th season IPL because in the last few seasons have been talked about his retirement.
Harbhajan, however, feels that Dhoni should play as long as he can, as his fans want to continue the game. He also mentioned that the former captain of India had a real fans base, unlike several other players who even paid fans on social media.
“He can play as long as he can. If it were my team, I would make another decision. Fans will want him to continue playing. I feel he has a real fan base; the rest is on social media, even paid fans.
Meantime, Dhoni openly modified his retirement in the current season. After Chennai Super Kings (CSK) won over Kalkata Knight in Eden Gardens, Dhoni said that because his fans don’t know which one will be his last season, they will see him.
“I think it’s the love and affection I got from the fans. I don’t remember, I’m 43, so I’ve played for a long time (laughs). I feel like most of them really don’t know when it will be my last year, so they want to support me, watch me,” Dhoni said.
There is still uncertainty about Dhoni’s retirement from IPL, because the dough looks like he will play another season.
“It is a two-month period and then I have to work hard for another 6-8 months and find out whether the body will be able to put pressure or not. Nothing to decide from now on,” Dhoni said.
