Former India Batter Suresh Raina was accused by Chennai Super Kings Management for Team Toting in IPL 2025 and said that Mrs. Dhoni had little involved in the CSK auction strategy that had the team mix this season.
CSK IPL 2025 campaign was nothing disappointingWith the team, but outside the play -off after a series of bad performances. On Saturday, CSK suffered the seventh defeat of the season and went down to Sunrisers Hyderabad with five goals. The loss meant their fourth consecutive defeat in Chepauk in IPL 2025.
CSK desperately used a winning combination and so far used 20 of its 27 players. On their last trip, Dewald handed over Brevis debut and promoted Ayush Mhatre, their youngest player to open shifts. This step, however, little changed its wealth.

Raina has dispelled the popular belief that Dhoni is a master behind every decision on CSK auction.
“They always say that Mrs. Dhoni will make the last call. But to be very honest, I have never participated in any auction. I have never been part of these discussions. I have always talked about players who have been preserved. MS could call whether to go with a player or not – but it’s not so involved.”
Raina did not abstain from emphasizing the contrast between Dhoni’s obligation and the bland efforts of others.
“The Core Group is engaged in auction-you can imagine that Dhoni can’t have this type of auction. Maybe he would name four or five players he wanted to keep them.
“He plays only for the brand, for his name, for the fandom – and still makes efforts. At the age of 43 he makes a goal, captain and carries the whole team on his shoulders. But what do other ten players do”? “
“Those who receive CRORES RS 18, Rs 17 Crores, Rs 12 Crores – do not respond to the captain. Especially when you have never lost certain teams before.
“Can I believe this player in the next match? Are there players who played there for years – even the older ones. But what are the results? You lose. The same mistakes are happening every time.”
Raina closed by suggesting that there could be a major shock on the horizon, perhaps led by Dhoni himself.
“I think Mrs. Dhoni will sit down now – he won’t want anyone around him. He had to decide.” After they lost when they lost, as they went – and they both stood there – it is clear that there will be a meeting today, ”Raina added.
