
Income tax department (IT) is expected to bring ambitious £1,435 CRORE PAN 2.0 Project Live next year and selected IT Major Ltimindtree as a service provider (MSP) for design, development, implementation, operation and project maintenance.
It is expected to be a “one-off platform” for comprehensive processing of Mr. and TAN affairs such as assignment, updating or repair, AADHAAR-PAN interconnection, re-verification, online verification, etc. It is aimed at simplifying PAN and TAN processes.
Mr. 2.0: What does its implementation mean?

Currently, the services related to the Mr. are spread on three different platforms-the portal e-portal, the UTIITSL and Protean e-GOV portal. The services will be merged with Mr. 2.0 into a single united portal.

What should PAN card holders do?

What will QR code help us?

Pan holders that have an old PAN without QR code have the option to apply for a new card with a QR code in the existing PAN 1.0 ecosystem and in PAN 2.0.
