
Bhongir Congress MP Chamala Kiran Reddy has emphasized the need to introduce Regional Rapid Transit Corridors (RRTC) in major cities, including Hyderabad, to improve the city’s livability, promote sustainable development and enhance regional connectivity for nearly eight surrounding districts.
He attended a meeting of the Standing Committee on Housing and Urban Affairs chaired by Ongole MP Magunta Sreenivasulu Reddy in New Delhi on Tuesday.
He informed the committee that Telangana government’s key infrastructure proposals – Regional Ring Road, Regional Ring Road and Metro – Phase II – are pending with the Government of India. The MP said timely approval and coordinated support from the Center will be essential for balanced regional growth and de-burdening of Hyderabad.
