In the middle of the ongoing guilt between the central and state governments over the “lack of urea” in Telangana, the trade unions of Ramagundam fertilizers and the Chemicals Limited (RFCL) to move the company’s central office from Noida to Ramagundam or Hyderabad, for effective monitoring, improved coordination and improved efficiency.
They argued that the current location of the office in Noida, far from the location of the race, led to a noticeable coordination gap between the unit and the headquarters.
“Most medium and higher officials are located in Noida and rarely visit the plant, leading to insufficient monitoring and slower decision -making processes, which also leads to delay in repairs,” the leader said.
The race was closed for the second time this year from the 16th to 10th August due to the reported leak in the elbow pipes ammonia. From 8 May to 15 June, it was also closed to hit the urea offer in several countries such as Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. The race produces 3,500-4,000 metric tons of urea daily.
Meanwhile, the Congress Member of Mahabubabad Lok Sabha of the P. Balram Naik letter wrote a letter to the secretary, fertilizer department, the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, GOI, emphasizing the need to move the corporate office.
In the letter he said that RFCL, a fertilizer plant with one unit located in Ramagundam in the PedDapall district, faces several technical challenges and frequent shutdown of plants.
“The physical absence of officers at the senior level from the placement of the race has become a serious restriction that defeated the purpose of monitoring in real time, rapid decision -making and practical coordination,” he said. The letter also mentions that most fertilizer companies with one unit in the country have their company offices near their race to ensure smooth operations and quick administration responses.
Employees believe that relocating the company office to Ramagundam or Hyderabad would ensure closer involvement of the creators of ground reality decisions, faster responses to technical emergencies and increased productivity and cost savings. They also claimed that the physical presence of the Delhi-NCR headquarters was not necessary in the digital era.
