MLC AH Vishwanath criticized the reported transition of the State Government to the closure of Jan Aushad Centers operating in government hospitals in Karnatation.
Vishwanath, who addressed a press conference in Mysuru 26 May, said that Jan Aushad centers help a large number of poor patients by ensuring medicine at an affordable price. Any step towards their closure down will hit poor patients hard, the former minister said.
He accused the state government of closing the centers of Jan Aushad, which is part of Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Jan Aushadi Pariyojana from the Indian government because they represent a photograph of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “Is it fair to close them because they have a photo of the Prime Minister? Tomorrow, if Rahul Gandhi becomes Prime Minister, will you let it remove?”
Mr. Vishwanath referred to the revival of COVID-19 cases, with three people from Mysurus to test positive and urged the government to take all the necessary steps in this respect.
Given that a large number of people suffered due to Koronavir, MLC asked the main Minister Siddaraiaha to order all the ministers in charge of the districts to personally visit the district hospitals to ensure that there were enough beds and drugs to deal with disease.
He recommended the state government to ensure that there would be enough oxygen cylinders, and pointed out that about 30 people died due to lack of oxygen in Chamarajanagar during the pandemic.
Niti Aayog
Mr. Vishwanath focused on Mr. Siddaramaiah for skipping the meeting of Niti Aayog, summoned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.
When all the country ministers are members of Niti Aayog under the Federal System, Mr. Siddaramaiah’s decision to skip the meeting will affect Karnataka from an economic point of view.
Mr. Vishwanath claimed that the economic advisor to the Chief Minister Basavaraj Rayeddy said that Mr. Siddarahaiahah was to attend the meeting, and wondered what the “preliminary occupation” was important to force the main minister to miss Aayog’s meeting. “Was he here in Mysur, who started the Indira dining room. Is Indira Canteen inauguration more important than participating in the Niti Aayog meeting?”
The exception of “wasting public money” by paying Crore 6.5 GBP actors Tamannaah Bhatia for becoming a brand ambassador for soaps and detergents Karnataka Limited (KSDL), Mr. Vishwanath pointed out that late Pujkumar became Karnataka Federation) ( Rupee.
“When Karnataka has so many good actors, including Aishwarya Rai, what was the need to sign Tamannaah Bhatia?”
