
Chief coach Gautam Gambhir is ready to re -join the Indian team in Leeds on Tuesday, June 17th, three days before the first test in a series of five matches against England. Gambhir will fly on Tuesday and are expected to connect with the team on the same day.
Gambhir returned home be with her mother, who was hospitalized after a heart attack on June 11th. Her condition has improved since then.
“His mother is doing well now. Gautam will leave tomorrow and join the team on the same day,” said the source of Bcci, who said PTI.
Gambhir traveled with the Indian team in early June and supervised the preparations of the young party led by SHUBMAN GILL. But he missed the match inside the squad between India and India in Beckenham. In his absence, assistant coach Ryan Ten Goschat, coach of Sitanshu Kotak and bowling coach Morne Morkel supervised the preparations during the training game.

India and England will meet in the first test in Headingley in Leeds between 20 and 24 June.
