More than 72,900 students will appear for NEET-UG re-examination in Telangana
All arrangements for the smooth conduct of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) re-examination scheduled for Sunday are complete and a total of 72,956 registered candidates will write the exam in Telangana.
There are 208 exam centers spread across 24 cities in the state and the exam will be held from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm Candidates with disabilities will be allowed to write the exam till 6:20 pm.
Those interested can start registering at the centers from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and no one will be allowed to enter after 1:30 p.m.
According to the National Testing Agency (NTA), a multi-layered security framework is in place to ensure a fair and transparent examination. Confidential materials will be transported under sealed protocols. All examination centers are equipped with CCTV and linked to centralized control rooms. Aadhaar-based biometric authentication will also be introduced along with enhanced and mandatory frisking using highly sensitive metal detectors.
In Telangana, Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao earlier held a review meeting with the concerned departments and instructed all the district collectors to ensure the smooth running of the proceedings.
Telangana Road Transport Corporation has already announced free travel for candidates who take the test after presenting hall tickets.
The police department has deployed teams to monitor online activity for misinformation and disturbances that could affect the investigation.
