A total of 6,760 candidates appeared for university medical courses, which took place on Sunday at 14 centers in Coimbatore. Of the 6,994 candidates who registered, 234 were missing.
The exam was carried out from 14:00 to 17:00, when the students were tested in Coimbatore before entering between 11:30 and 13:30, 85 police workers were deployed, while 71 were located at 14 centers to ensure smooth testing.
Coimbatore District Neet Coordinator RK Misra said that participation was 96.65% and the test was carried out without problems. “No candidate reported any problems in the centers,” he said.
The candidates said the test was time consuming and the most difficult physics and physics-physics between three subjects-biology, chemistry and physics-physics.
S. Keerthig, a student of a government school, said: “Physics were the hardest. Although coaching at school helped to prepare and manage time, I could not finish the whole paper.”
V. Indhraja, Trans -axis of Coimbatore, said it was their second attempt. “I was preparing myself. Compared to last year, I felt the paper was a little easier,” they said.
In Tiruppur, the candidate was initially stopped at the entrance to the examiner because her dress had more buttons. Police staff on service helped her to buy alternative clothing, after which she was allowed to write a test. In the district, the test was carried out in seven centers. Of the 3 212 registered candidates, 107 were missing.
