As part of the Healthcare Outreach program, medical specialists offered advanced medical services in Mega medical camp organized on Saturday. The camp was inaugurated at PVKN College by the district collector Sumit Kumar and Chittoor MP Daggumalla Prasada Rao.
Mr. Prazada Rao said that this initiative would expand quality medical care to disadvantaged patients who cannot afford treatment in corporate hospitals. Doctors from Rainbow Eye Foundation and Aravind Eye Hospital provided their services in the camp. Specialists were orthopedicists, neurologists, gynecologists, ophthalmologists, cardiologists, general doctors, laboratory diagnostics and techniques for ECG and ultrasound diagnostics.
The Sumit Kumar district collector said that the top healthcare professionals from Bengalur and Hyderabad entered their services in favor of the local residents. The collector said more than 4,000 people from the town of Chittoor and the surrounding areas used free medical services.
In addition to the treatment of heart, neurological and ophthalmic diseases, patients were proven for blood pressure and diabetes and provided free medicines.
