More than 32,000 people took the census in Ernakulam in five days
A total of 32,102 people in Ernakulam district have started the process of self-enumeration in the ongoing Digital Census 2027.
According to official data available till 5:00 PM on Saturday (June 20, 2026), 27,872 people have completed the self-counting process while the remaining 4,230 have completed it.
Additional District Magistrate K. Manoj directed tahsildars and village officers to intensify public efforts to speed up the census, an official release said. Officials were instructed to strengthen awareness campaigns through local community organizations such as residents’ associations and clubs.
The district administration is also conducting extensive awareness programs and census quizzes in various colleges across the district to encourage greater public participation.
Residents can complete their own census from June 16 to 30 by visiting se.census.gov.in and submitting answers to 33 questions. After completing the process, they will receive an 11-digit identification number via SMS. When enumerators visit households after July 1, residents can provide this ID to facilitate faster data collection. Enumerators will visit the households of those who do not have access to online facilities.
