On Saturday (September 13, 2025) on Saturday (September 13, 2025), in Indra Park, more than 10,000 cable and broadband operators presented the upper cable cutting, which has left a large part of Hyderabad without broadband and now affects mobile services.
Agitation came over three weeks to the ongoing cable cleaning unit, which disrupted services for an estimated 70-80 Lakh subscribers across 20 Internet service providers (ISP) in the city.
Demonstrators demanded an immediate stopping of cable cutting, consultations with the government and the parties and a long -term, sustainable solution for protection of broadband and internet connection.
They argued that the cable network built over the past 35-40 years could not be easily disassembled overnight and added that this step caused customers to widespread inconvenience, including government offices, and amazed its complaints about complaints.
The President of the Federation of Aviation Cable operators (FACO) SATISH Babu said they had already submitted a proposal to the government to bring all the operators under one umbrella as part of the T-Fiber along with ads. “We are also open to another solution, including underground channels or a single cable on each road, depending on the budget,” he said.
Several subscribers around the crisis also expressed their frustration. Some also took the stage to share their experience. Arekha, a resident who stopped in a protest place, said customers were forced to suffer because of the distance between cable operators and the government.
