More than 1,000 motorists were booked during a special enforcement drive targeting mobile phone use while driving in Malkajgiri on Thursday, April 23, 2026. Another 15 cases of unauthorized use of sirens were also booked with fines totaling ₹10.55 lakh imposed on violators.
Officers carried out checks at major intersections and accident-prone stretches, focusing on dangerous driving behavior linked to phone use, dangerous maneuvers and illegal use of vehicle sirens.
