Out of a total of 1,82,061 candidates for TGCET 2026 for Class 5 and Class 6 to 10 admissions in Telangana Gurukuls, 1,72,842 candidates (95%) cleared the test on Sunday.
The test was conducted at 492 examination centers across the state. The test gives admission to schools that fall under the jurisdiction of Telangana Social Welfare, Tribal Welfare, Residential Institutions and Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Telangana Backward Classes Welfare Residential Educational Institutions.
CET Convener S. Krishna Aditya said the high attendance reflected the strong interest of students and parents for admission to Gurukuls.
