Further efforts and resources need to be invested in improving Indian connectivity with Central Asia, Minister of external Affairs S. Jaishankar said on Thursday (June 5, 2025) and emphasized the need for amplification of trade through the Chabahar port in Iran. Mr. Jaishankar, who spoke at the India-Central Asian Commercial Council before the fourth indicated-central Asian dialogue, scheduled for Friday (June 6, 2025), expressed support for the “mutual settlement of trade” in national currencies.

Mr. Nurtleu said at the event that Kazakhstan was trying to intensify the connectivity between the ports on the Caspian Sea coast and the Bandar Abbas port in Iran.
