Even as a proposal to prepare the extension of the metro or tram service for connecting the metro station Thripunithura with the infopark still has to pick up steam, between the two places started the service of the CNG feeder.
In January, Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) introduced 15 air -conditioned electric fed buses, which have since operated services from metro stations in the city, Kalamassery, ALUVA and Kakkanad to the infopark and international airports.
The passenger fare for the service-infopark of the Thripunithura metro service, the long-waiting demand of the infopark employees and many others is 60 GBP. The services in the corridor will start early in the morning (prevents Sunday) from the Thripunithura metro station and ends late in the evening. There will be eight services a day in the corridor, sources said.
KMRL rented a CNG bus for operation between two city cities for six months through the offer. While the sponsorship of passengers was catching up, more such services could be introduced in accordance with demand. In addition to connecting these two key points, the service will also improve from them much needed connectivity to the last mile.
