Is the current president BCCI Roger Binny eligible for another term?
No. The hero of the 1983 World Cup team is not eligible to attack the President’s place for another term because he has reached the maximum age limit of 70 years. Binny has reached 70 years last Saturday.
Why can’t he compete?
The bill was followed by the age provisions of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) and International Federations (IFS). In the case of cricket, the global government body of sport-the-goal cricket council (ICC) had no age-intensive provisions such as 70 or 75 years. The bill included the provisions of the Committee for Justice Lodha, which framed the BCCI Institute, and set an age cap of 70 for its wearers of the office. Therefore, Binny cannot attack.
Does the BCCI make elections?
For BCCi, it is mandatory to organize new elections in September or Oct the annual General Meeting (AGM) to choose a new president and a set of offices. If you do not do so, it would lead to the rejection of the government to restore its annual recognition under the provisions of the Public Affairs Act. In the event of a failure, its recognition would be canceled and would not be allowed to use the name “India” to represent the country in international tournaments or organize any accessories as a national team.
Can BCCI change his institute?
Yes. The BCCI Constitution determines one three -year term for the office wearers, before the mandatory time of the same duration. After serving the cooling period, the carrier can return to the competition for any contribution. BCCI could change its institute to its AGM, but in the case of a dispute, the damaged parties would have to approach the National Sports Tribunal first. The tribunal judgment can only be attacked in the Supreme Court.
