Minister of irrigation and civic supplies N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Wednesday promised on Wednesday that the government of Congress would fight to ensure a fair share on the Krishna River for Telangan and remedy what he called the “historical betrayal” of the BRS regime.
“The BRS government gave up the rights of telangans by adopting only 299 TMCs of the total assignment of the 811 TMC Krishna, leaving 512 TMC Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday.
“We re-opened this problem with Brijesh Kumar and we demand a ratio of 70: 30-70% for telangana and 30% for Andhra Pradesh-on basin, cultivable soil, zones susceptible to drought and population,” he said.
