Three accused in the Moinabad farm drug case, including pilot Rohith Reddy, former Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA, his brother Ritesh Reddy and businessman Namit Sharma, have been remanded in police custody for further questioning in the case after a court on Wednesday (April 1, 2026) granted three-day remand.
The three accused will be in police custody from 11 am on April 1 to 11 am on April 4.
The Upperpally Metropolitan Magistrate Court had earlier granted the accused a three-day remand from 4:30 pm on March 23 to 4:30 pm on March 26.
The case relates to a raid conducted on March 14 at a farm in Moinabad owned by Rohith Reddy, where about two grams of cocaine were allegedly seized. Ten persons present on the premises were arrested, including Putta Mahesh Kumar and Moraganeni Ramesh.
Preliminary screening showed that at least six people had ingested narcotic substances. During the raid, Namith Sharma allegedly fired in the air. Investigators collected gunshot residue samples as part of the probe.
The police registers cases under the provisions of the NDPS Act and other relevant sections. Further investigation is underway.
