Mozi Indian Super League (Isl) Mohun Bagan Super Giant was hit by a national ban on registration of new players after a “technical error” related to the transfer of Australian striker Jason Cummings. The problem that has appeared through official communication from the FIFA Football Federation Director to the All India (AIFF) Football Federation (AIFF) has an administrative nature and is not associated with any financial misconduct or regulatory violations.
According to sources in the club, the problem lies in the inconsistency marked with the Clearing House FIFA system during the processing fee for compensation associated with Cummings move from the central coast sailors in 2023. The fact that he was a refuge that was acceptable within the Zanánovní club.
“((FIFA) Communication states will introduce the ban on the Mohun Bagan Super Giant (FIFA ID-14AKC2C) to immediately register new players at national level,” AIFF said in his letter Mohun Bagan.
“For your link, please find the attached correspondence of the FIFA judicial bodies in terms of notification of the reasons for the reasons, the FDD-23868 link. This is your information and the necessary measures,” he added.
What do the rules say?
FIFA regulations require a player to move at an international level under 23 years, a part of a transfer fee for a 5-10%transmission fee must be as well as a replacement for training academies or club development clubs. These payments are processed through the FIFA billing house to ensure transparency and traceability.
In the case of Bagana, I could start a temporary ban on processing this amount, which prevented the club from registering new Indian players until the matter was resolved. Similarly, a similar situation arose last season with Mumbai City FC.
Despite failure, Mohun Bagan resources claimed that this problem was smaller and believes to solve it within one week. The club remains active in its preparations for the new season, after retaining six foreign players, with key selected offers. However, Futures Greg Stewart and Tom Aldred remain uncertain, while speculation continues around the potential east of Dimitri Petratos.
“It is a temporary ban. Super Giant Management Mohun Bagan has already taken steps to resolve this matter and is expected to be solved within a few days,” said PTI club official.
“It is not associated with any financial discrepancies and the problem is of administrative nature. We are shaking at FIFA and this lift in a week,” he added.
