The team management did not want to take any chances with the Delhi pacer as the damage to his knees is more than initially expected.However, captain Suryakumar Yadav did not reveal anything in the pre-match press conference. “Harshit Rana has not been ruled out yet, the physios are assessing him but he is not looking good,” said Suryakumar.“We’ll see which (other) fast bowlers have done really well in the last year or two or if there’s a bowler who can bat as well.“But there’s no hard and fast rule that he can bat because if you expect someone at No.9 or No.10 to come in and hit a six, then what are the other eight (players) in front of him doing? We’ll see, we’ve got a few options, but we’ll take the best one,” he added.
