Mohammed Siraj suggests workload management may have led to T20 World Cup 2026 offense

January 17, 2026

Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj feels that his workload management may have led to him being dropped from the T20 World Cup 2026 squad. Siraj played in the final edition of the tournament and played a key role in India’s win.

“In the ODIs, I was rested in the last series because we had just finished a long series in South Africa where I bowled almost 40 overs. Then I played the series in Australia. For a fast bowler, rest is extremely important because the load in Test cricket is very high. After rest, you come back fresh and refocus on the rhythm.”

“Playing the World Cup is every player’s dream. To represent your country at such a level is special. The current team looks very strong on paper and in form, so I wish them all the best. Bring the trophy home,” said Siraj.
