India Mohammed Shami was dissatisfied with the team’s bowling in the first test against England in Leeds. England defeated India by five goals by chasing their second highest target in the 371 test history on the last day and in the series took the lead 1-0. Indian pitchs escaped running at more than 4.5 runs through shifts, because only Jasprit Bumrah looked efficient.
Assessment of India’s output in the Opener of the Shami series suggested that Other pitchs should learn from Bumhrah And give him sufficient support during the matches. Bumrah raised five goal haul in the first shifts, but in the second shift he remained without a goal when England decided to risk against him.
“In bowling, the other Indian pitching should talk to Bumrah and learn from him. They should talk about planning and support him. If they support Bumrah, then we can easily win the match. If I talk about the first match, I think we have to do a little work in bowling.”
He also mentioned how Shardul Thakur and Prasidh Krishna had a zero impact because England was already on the driver’s seat. Shami stressed the importance of choosing a goal with a new ball.
“Shardul Thakur and Prasidh Krishna raised two goals each in the 2nd shifts, but at a time when Shardul released two English doughs, the match was out of Indian range. It is very important to take goals with a new ball. Must support Bumhrah.
Shami is not part of the Indian Group for the ongoing series, because the main selector Ajit Agarkar revealed that it is not fit enough to play five match test series. In his absence, Selectors handed over the first test call to Arshdeep Singhwho played cricket County for Kent. It remains to see if the left arm of the left arm gets a chance to play XI with question marks about Bumhrah’s participation in the second test.
