DMK president and chief minister MK Stalin the prime minister warned on Tuesday (April 14, 2026). Narendra Modi “don’t play with fire” – suggested delineation – and warned Union Minister Piyush Goyal to “watch your language” when talking about Tamil Nadu and its people.
Campaigning for the DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance (SPA) candidates in Vellore and Tirupattur districts for the assembly elections, Mr Stalin said Mr Goyal was only appointed as the BJP representative for Tamil Nadu and should not speak disrespectfully about its people. He accused the Union minister of speaking arrogantly and assuming that the people of the state will behave submissively.
