On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Rampal Kashyap, a resident of Haryany’s Kaithal, who was committed 14 years ago that he would not use shoes until Mr Modi became prime minister and personally did not meet him.
Mr. Kashyap met with the Prime Minister of Yamunanagar, where he launched and laid the foundation stone of development projects.

Although Modi took over the office in 2014, Mr. Kashyap continued to travel barefoot and waited for a meeting with the Prime Minister. The official statement stated that Mr. Modi was humiliated to learn about Mr. Kashyap. He called on citizens to concentrate their energy on meaningful actions associated with social work and building a nation.
In a separate Post to xMr. Modi wrote: “At today’s public meeting in Yamunanagar, I met Sri Rampal Kashyap from Kaithal. He took a promise 14 years ago – that he would wear shoes, only after I became PM and had to meet.
