On Friday (July 25, 2025), Bharatiya Janata (BJP) accused the Congress Party of doing nothing for other backward classes (OVC) and added that the government of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-Mored had taken several specific measures for their well-being.
The Minister of Education of the Union Dharndra Pradhan released as unfounded accusations of the Congress Party that the government did not do anything for the OSS, told the media that the government for the first time is led by the leader of the Civil Code.
Mr. Pradhan accused Congress of contradictory reservations for the planned caste, planned tribe and municipalities for many years. He claimed that the former head of the sitamram Kesri Congress, leader of the community of the municipalities, was humiliated by his own parties.
The past attitudes of the congress
“If someone opposed the Mandal Commission, it was the late father Rahul Gandhi Shri Rajiv Gandhi. Pandit Jawaharlal Nezru, the then Prime Minister, wrote a letter to the main ministers that the reservation would be dangerous for the development of the country.
In 2019, under the leadership of Mr. Modi, the Central Educational Institution Act (reservation in the teacher’s cadre) was listed to ensure reservation for categories SC, ST and OVC in the appointment of assistant professor, associate professor and professor. “Although for any reason, a qualified person is not found during the appointment process, contributions for the reserved categories will not penetrate,” he said.
“Rahul Gandhi says there are vacancies in central institutions. The fact is that in 2014 there were 16,217 teaching functions in institutions in 2014, which increased to 18.951 in 2025.
“Today, 8,150 SC, ST and OBC candidates have been named … They are trying to enter the remaining free space in record time,” he said.
