Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday (August 30, 2025) handed over to the Ukransky President Volodymyr Zelenkyy that India supports all efforts to end the conflict in Ukraine.
In a telephone interview initiated by Mr. Zelenkyy, PM Modi reaffirmed the permanent and consistent position of India for the peace settlement of conflict.
Two days ago, the conversation came with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the edge of the Summit of the Organization for Cooperation in Shanghai (SCO) in this Chinese city.
“We thank President Zelenkyy for his phone call today. We have exchanged opinions on the ongoing conflict, his humanitarian aspect and effort to restore peace and stability. India expands full support to all efforts in this respect,” PM Modi said “X”.
The Prime Minister landed in Tianjin tonight to participate in the SCO summit.
President Zelenkyy shared his view of recent development related to Ukraine.
Indian deduction said that Prime Minister Modi reaffirmed the Indian “permanent and consistent position” for the peace settlement of the conflict of Ukraine and support for efforts aimed at first restoring.
The Prime Minister repeated India’s obligation to extend all possible support in this respect, he said.
“The leaders also reviewed progress in bilateral partnerships in India-Ukraine and discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation in all areas of mutual interest,” he added.
