The Chief Minister of MK Stalin launched new buildings and hostels built for the price of 57.47 GBP Crore for the government model school in Thuvakudi in Tiruch.
Model schools have been established in the state to train higher secondary students to clean up competing examinations such as Jee, Neet, Cuet, Clat, and other exams and other exams and help students to ensure admission to university institutions. In the 2023-24 budget, the state government announced that in the first phase, permanent buildings for model schools in five districts Tiruchi, Kallakurichi, Villupuram, Cuddalore and Tiruvannamei will be set up.
The building of the model school, located in the premises of the government industrial training institute (ITI), has a plus two floors with a carpet area of 54,676 square feet. In addition, separate five -storey buildings for hostels for boys and girls with an area of 73 172 square feet were built. The hostels can hold about 440 boys and the same number of girls.
Mr. Stalin went around the school and hostel buildings and communicated with students. He introduced a statue of Tamil’s poet Thirvaluvar installed in school premises.
Later, in the X post, Mr. Stalin said, “After my visit to model schools in Delhi in 2022, I said that such schools would also be founded in Tamil Nadu. As we announced, we founded 38 model schools that were in every district across Tamil Nadu. Delhi.”
“Our initiative has brought impressive results, while 977 students from these schools are now devoted to higher education in leading Indian and international institutions. We will continue to try to increase the number,” Stalin said, praising Minister of School Education Anbil Maheshi.
