Model autism complexes with modern facilities will be set up in all 14 districts under the STARS (Strengthening Teaching-Learning and Results for States) programme, General Education Minister V Sivankutty said.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, the minister said that ₹2.75 crore has been earmarked for each autism complex.
The subject minimum will be implemented this year in classes V to IX. It would also be introduced in SSLC exams in 2027.
This year, the government allowed a 12-day Christmas holiday instead of nine.
The distribution of Braille textbooks for students of the Plus Two Higher Secondary School has been completed, the minister said.
