The Kozhikode district administration in cooperation with the National Health Mission (Aogya Keralam) develops a mobile application called “Sahammitra” to support the parents of different children. It is expected that it will soon be introduced in phases.
According to official sources, Kozhikode is the only district in the State selected as part of the Initiative for Cooperation of the Ministry of Administrative Reforms and public complaints of the Government of the Union for this project. The mobile application has been designed to provide step -by -step therapies, progress and trouble -free access to therapists, doctors and centers for management of communities (CDMC). The initiative is expected to minimize the need for frequent hospital visits to help families save time, effort and costs.
The district collector Snehil Kumar Singh said the application would bridge a critical gap by bringing professional leadership directly to the homes of the families. This would be consistent, accessible and more efficient for various children in the Kozhikode district.
The key features of the application include plans and reminders of personalized therapy, direct communication with doctors and therapists, easy access to close CDMCs and hospital services, tools for children such as rewards and badges, and multilingual and accessible design.
Parents can monitor their child’s improvement through easy -to -read graphs. Therapists and doctors can update therapeutic plans based on activities carried out at home. It has curatorial exercises, videos and a guide adapted to various therapeutic needs. Parents can also share real -time feedback on therapeutic activities for timely adjustments. The project is supported by Mission It It Kerala, Kerala Startup Mission and institutions such as the National Institute for Mental Health and Neuroscience.
