Manithaneya Makkal Katchi President MH Jawahirullah on Sunday condemned the attack by the United States and Israel on Iran, which resulted in the killing of its Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
In a statement, Mr Jawahirullah said: “This is a blatant violation of the sovereignty of an independent nation. If this military action was taken without the authorization of the United Nations, it sets a dangerous precedent in violation of international law and fundamental principles enshrined in the UN Charter.”
He said the US and Israel must “immediately cease all military operations”.
“The international community must urgently intervene to de-escalate the situation and restore stability. All disputes must be resolved through diplomatic channels and peaceful negotiations. The UN Security Council should convene an emergency meeting to take the necessary measures to ensure regional peace,” he said.
