MMC, Rotary Club provides five pink cars to women

More than 110 alumni of Madras Medical College (MMC) gathered at the iconic 129-year-old historic red brick building popularly known as ‘Red Fort’ to relive their cherished memories and celebrate 50 years since starting their medical journey.

Doctors who joined Madras Medical College in 1976 traveled from different parts of the world to attend the golden jubilee celebrations of their college days.

Built in the Indo-Saracenic style of architecture, the building housed the Institute of Anatomy for several decades.

The alumni also joined hands with the Rotary Club of Madras Esplanade to sponsor five pink autorickshaws, costing ₹ 1.75 lakh each, for needy mothers.
