The state government declared MM Hills as an alcohol -free zone with regard to its importance as a pilgrimage center.
The decision was taken at the SRI Male Mahadeshwa SWAMY KSHETHRA Development Authority (SMMKDA), chaired by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday.
The edition stated that alcohol sales have so far been banned in the jurisdiction of the office on the hill. It will also be forbidden to bring alcohol from outside in the future. Officials were instructed to eradicate illegal liqueur sale on the hills.
It was also taken to use Nandini Ghee for the production of Laddu Prasada in the MM Hills temple, similar to Tirupati and also to improve quality. It was also decided to distribute 100 Gm Laddu for 35 GBP on festival occasions.
Minister of Animal Breeding and Series K. Venkatesh, Minister of Social Care HC Mahadevappa, Salur Seer Shantalikarjuna SWAMI, Deputy Commissioner Shilpa Nag, and others were present.
