The veteran leader of the congress and the nine MLA RV DESHPANDE found themselves in the middle of the controversy, because his “insensitive and mischievous” response to a female television journalist, who pointed out the problems facing pregnant women, attracted from various neighborhoods.
He responded to the female editor of the private TV Canal Cannada during the public interaction over the lack of medical facilities in the Joid district of Uttar Kannada, Mr. Deshpande said, “If you have to deliver, I will do it in Haliyal (neighboring area).”
The lack of a super special hospital in Uttara Kannada led to a permanent campaign in the region.

In his statement, President BJP from Vijayendra noted that Mr Deshpande’s sexist notes did not apply his age, experience and dignity. “Mr. Deshpande’s remarks that have been made by a tone offered by women cannot be accepted by civil society. Let him withdraw his notes and apologize to women,” Mr. Vijayendra said. President of BJP State Women Morch C. Manjul said Morcha would protest on Thursday in the district of Uttara Kannada.
Karnataka of the Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ) demanded that Mr. Deshpande apologize to the journalist’s behavior. “Mr. Deshpande, who used a sensitive problem for entertainment, should apologize,” said Social Media’s contribution from KUWJ, who also described the main Minister Siddaramaiaha and Deputy Minister of DK Shivakumar.
Karnataka Patracarteyara Sangh, a journalist forum, also condemned the statement of Mr. Deshpande and demanded an apology from him.
Mr. Deshpande, who served in the cabinets of several main ministers and processed various portfolios, including industries and income, currently works as chairman of the Commission for Administrative Reforms, which has the rank of Minister of Cabinet.
