A guest lecture on “Digital Technology and Cyber Security Challenges in Interconnecting India’s Technology Hubs” was organized on Saturday (October 18, 2025) by the Ministry of Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security) at Madanapalle Institute of Technology and Science (MITS), Deemed University of Annamayya District, in association with By the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
According to a press release, R. Siva Shankar, Professor of Computer Science at the International College of Digital Innovation, Chiang Mai University, Thailand, addressed the session as the chief guest. He highlighted India’s emergence as a global technology hub and underlined the growing importance of cyber security in the digital era. Dr. Siva Shankar warned against threats such as data breaches, phishing and ransomware and called for strengthening cyber security frameworks and greater awareness among young engineers.
The session featured interactions and discussions that offered students an insight into the latest trends and challenges in the industry. The event was attended by MITS Principal P. Ramanathan and senior faculty members.
