Australia Fast Bowler Mitchell Starc has recently opened up in its decision not to return to India after the renewal of the Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025). The IPL was suspended a week after Pakistan attacked several parts of India. However, the tournament was restored on May 17th after both countries agreed to a ceasefire.
However, several players have decided not to return to India for several reasons. Mitchell Starc, who represented Delhi Capitals (DC), also pulled out from the last phase of the tournament. Australia Speedster revealed that its focus was moved to the Red Ball cricket after returning home because Australia is going to compete in the World Championship (WTC) 2025.
“I am satisfied with my decision and how I felt about the situation and how it was treated. Therefore, after I decided, and my focus turned on cricket red balls about a week before the arrival.
In addition, the Starc emphasized his commitment to Delhi Capitals (DC) and said it wasn’t someone to pull from the tournaments after signing.
“I am still a strongly devoted group of Delhi and I am not someone who got into the tournaments and pulled out after being picked up at the auction or anything that looks like. These are different circumstances,” he added.
The Starc was one of the vital wheels in the bowling attack in Delhi, choosing 14 goals out of 10 shifts on average 26.14. Therefore, After his inability to return, Delhi suffered massively When they won only one of their last three matches and set off from the tournament.
