Mississippi’s Leland police are investigating shooting during the school weekend, which left four people dead and 12 other injured, according to CBS News report.
Among the injured were four critical and were transported to the medical center of the University of Mississippi.
The incident occurred on the main street. The city recorded more activities on Friday evening than usual (local time) due to the home game of the local Leland High School.
According to the school website, they were planned to play home against Charleston High School on Friday.
Associated Press spoke to the police chief Heidelberg Cornel White, who confirmed two deaths, but did not disclose information about the identity of the deceased.
John Lee, Mayor of Leland, spoke to CBS News and revealed that the incident occurred around midnight.
Police, including Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, hunt 18 -year -old Tylar Jarod Goodloe in connection with shooting, according to social media reports.
Jasper County’s Sheriff’s office issued a statement and issued a picture of the suspect.
