
In the 125th episode Mann Ki Baat on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the opening of the new digital platform “Pratibha set” to support UPSC applicants who approached but did not get into the final list of merit.
The UPSC caller one of the most difficult competing tests in India, PM Modi emphasized the determination and inspiring ways of many such candidates.
The Prime Minister said at his address: “My dear compatriots, you had to hear the name of the UPSC. This institution is conducting a state -service test, one of the most difficult exams in the country. We have all heard many inspiring stories since the public services.
He also added: “There are thousands of such candidates who are very capable; their hard work is no less than anyone else, but they are unable to achieve the final list with a small span. These candidates have to re -prepare for further exams.
‘Pratibha set’ stores the data of those candidates who cleaned all the stages of different UPSC tests, but their names did not appear in the final list of merit, “PM Modi said.
The Prime Minister said at his address “Mann Ki Baat” that the database on the “Pratibha set” already contains details of more than 10,000 such talented youth that can be accessed for future occasions.
UPSC recently launched the Pratibha-Set portal, where private companies, PSU or other organizations can register themselves to access details of unfinished candidates to consider them to recruit in their organizations, said Minister for Staff for Jitendra Singh staff in Rajya Sabha.
Fifty thousand nine hundred candidates appeared for the interview and 33,950 were not selected, he added.
