Miss Universe 2025 Controversy
Miss Universe 2025 is surrounded by major controversies. Allegations of manipulation, conflicts of interest and legal concerns have surfaced.
Three judges resigned just days before the competition, with one claiming that the results had been fixed and that a secret, unofficial panel had already selected the finalists. Another claimed a judge member was romantically involved with a contestant.
Tensions escalated when Nawat Itsaragrisil, director of Miss Universe Thailand, publicly reprimanded Mexican contestant Fatima Bosch for skipping promotions. He even had security remove it.
Several contestants, including the reigning Miss Universe, walked out in protest. Nawat later apologized after Rocha’s intervention.
Thai police are investigating reports that contestants were asked to film promotional content for an online gambling website, allegedly in violation of national laws.
