Chairman of Hurriyat and the main Kashmir’s main Cleric Mirwaiz Umar Farooq (August 1, 2025) showed rare praise to the members of the parliament (deputies) by Jamm and Kashmir for emphasizing the “nations” and urging the center to “engage at all levels”.

“Neither war nor violence, nor the use of strength can solve problems and lead to peace and prosperity that billions of people in the Indian subcontinent are looking for, and the poor in this region deserve engagement at all levels is a much cheaper and developed alternative,” Mirwaiz said.
Mirwaiz appointed and awarded three J&K deputies – Mian Altaf and Syed Aga Ruhullah at the National Conference along with the Awami ITTehad Rashid. He said the trio “was the only one who emphasized the deep concerns and situations of people on the epicenter of the basic problem and contemporary debate”.
Critical in the past
Mirwaiz’s praise under the mainstream leading is rare, because in the past, separatists have always been critical of their narration.
Mirwaiz said, referring to the ongoing proceedings of the parliament: “Three J&K deputies spoke with passion and pain of abuse and deprive of people J&K.
He said that very few deputies and mostly in opposition spoke of the human aspect of the war and its costs in it and its correlation with J&K, which “reflects the thinking and mood of the time”.
He hoped that the lament of Members about the situation of Kashmir “will be heard by those who are in power in the new Delhi”. “If they really want to reduce” Dil Ki Doori “, they have to pay attention to it,” he added.
