
The Olympic medalist Mirabhai Chan was elected chairman of the Indian Indian Indian Indian Lighthlifting Federation on Tuesday.
Khan expressed her gratitude towards the IWF for eleing her as chairman, and thanked the committee members for unanimously voting for her. A thirty -year -old man said that the opportunity to represent and keep the voice of colleagues strut is a great pride for her.
Khan also stated that she would take duties that came seriously with the role. The Olympic medalist said that she would seek to spread the voice and athletes across all key channels to ensure the focus on sport.
“I express my immense gratitude to the Indian Federation of weightlifting for choosing me as chairman of the Federation Athletes Commission. I am an extremely grateful Sahdev Yadav Sir for showing faith in me.
The opportunity to represent and keep the voice of fellow citizens is a great pride for me. I would also like to thank my coach Vijay, for their constant support and leadership over the years. I promise to take responsibility that comes with a role seriously. I will try to spread the voice of athletes and opinions across all key channels to make sure we can continue to focus on sport without being distracted by external factors, ”Chan said.
Khan won a total of 210 kg in Tokyo after raising. Last year she was in the queue to get another medal at the Paris Olympics, but eventually missed. The only medal that is missing in the Chanu Cabinet is the Asian game medal.
