The Shamshabad Police was arrested a 25 -year -old man for a sexual attack by a 10 -year -old girl sleeping on Monday at an overpass.
The defendant, Sanjay Paramal aka Irfan Hussain, a gujarat worker, currently staying in Hubbali in Karnataka, came to Hyderabad to work. The police said he had briefly communicated with the girl and her family who live on the streets, earlier in the evening of 21 July.
“He returned around midnight when the family slept, took the girl behind the overpass column and attacked her sexually. He escaped when she started crying,” said inspector Shamshabad K. Balaraja.
The girl warned her family soon after.
The girl lives with her parents, older sister and sister -in -law, with all ragpickers who slept under the overpass at the time of the crime.
After the complaint, the case was registered and the accused was traced and arrested. Was taken into judicial custody.
