Personal Assistant to Tribal Welfare Minister Gummadi Sandhya Rani Satish tendered his resignation on Friday following sexual harassment and other allegations leveled against him by a female employee a few days ago.
The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, approached the police department recently and explained the harassment and produced evidence from a WhatsApp chat with Mr. Satish. After details of the chat were widely circulated on social media, Mr. Satish tendered his resignation. He also filed a complaint at the Salur police station and asked the police to investigate the matter as he neither accepted the bribe nor harassed the woman. He said his profile picture was misused on another phone number to mislead everyone and embroil him in controversies.
